In the area of ​​environmental protection, Hutchison Ports ECV has a program with the goal of the implementation of sustainable development practices and linking with the community through environmental care.

This program has several subprograms such as environmental waste separation, emphasizing the concept of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, garbage collection, cleaning of beaches, recycling, collection of batteries, among other things, from converting equipment and facilities into more friendly technologies with the environment, up to recycling sewage and waste materials.
We also promote the importance of physical activity among employees and their families by promoting biking, walking, etc., as healthy alternatives.

We train our staff on recycling, as well as encouraging the cleaning culture and to participate actively with institutions and government agencies.

Among the major initiatives of Hutchison Ports ECV in 2014, it is worth mentioning the modernization project of the multipurpose and Cruise terminal with the installation of LED lamps, obtaining favorable results not only in the quality of lighting but also in saving up to 50% of energy consumption thus helping to reduce our environmental footprint of a significant improvement in our Terminal lighting, providing a sense of security and comfort.
