Hutchison Ports ECV is located in the heart of the port of Ensenada, 110 km south of the US border.

SUSTAINABLE MANNER.

At ECV, we are committed to protecting the environment. As a result, it has been decided to implement measures that contribute to reducing the carbon footprint and properly managing the waste generated in our operations. In this sense, the Cruise Terminal will continue to adopt the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” methodology, which is about segregating special handling waste such as plastic, metal, wood and waste from the technological industry and disposing of it in companies certified for this purpose, thus generating support for the circulating economy by not bringing plastic new to the world. In addition, we are about to acquire three new work vehicles for transportation within the terminal, as well as two fully electric forklifts that will replace vehicles that consume fossil fuels. These changes will impact the reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG).

We also promote the importance of physical activity among employees and their families by promoting bike rides, walks, fitness classes , yoga, etc., as healthy alternatives.

We train our staff in recycling, as well as in the culture of cleanliness and we actively participate with institutions and government agencies.

Community

Hutchison Ports ECV is committed to supporting the communities in which it operates, focusing on a series of education programs, social service projects, medical initiatives, environmental protection efforts and other causes that benefit or improve the quality of life of the community worldwide.
We have generated an important link with the community, our permanent campaigns cover the most vulnerable sectors of society, supporting institutions such as children's shelters, nursing homes. elderly, where the role of our collaborators is essential, since, with their selfless work, we bring joy and happiness to children, homeless people and families who need it most.
The most important program in community service is called “Dock School”, which actively promotes that all member ports of the group adopt a low-resource educational institution to improve their infrastructure. This program has grown significantly since it was first implemented in 1992. To date, there are more than 20 schools benefiting under this program.
